It’s not long now until we are back at Haigh Hall with our Christmas vintage, collectable and retro fair on Sunday 18th November 10am-4pm. We wanted to tell you all about the fab stall coming to Haigh Hall so you can come and have a look.
For those of you in the Wigan area you will know that Haigh Hall is an impressive building (recently featured on Don’t Tell the Bride). For those of you out of the area, Haigh Hall was built in the mid-19th century and was once home of the Earl of Crawford and Balcarres. The Hall is situated in 250 acres of woodland and is a popular destination for families as the Country Park has a children’s playground, miniature railway, craft gallery, gift shop and information centre. As children we regularly went to Haigh Hall for a Sunday walk and in autumn we loved to collect conkers.
The fair will take place in the impressive Hall and will utilise two upstairs rooms, the entrance hall and main ballroom with vintage wedding dresses displayed on the open staircase. There will be a pop up retro hair and make-up salon, demonstrations, a cafe and mulled wine with open fires and Christmas decorations in a stunning environment.
As for entertainment we will have the lovely Bexi Owen, vocalist http://www.facebook.com/bexiowen?fref=ts, singing throughout the day, she will also have her own stall selling vintage. We also have Chorley Silver Band who will be in the entrance hall to greet you with popular brass band tunes. The lovely Ruth Moulden will be at the fair with her pop up retro hair and make up salon as well as selling hair accessories, make up and mail treatments. Below is her price list:
